In a recent podcast titled "Future of MDM," hosted by Rohit Singh Verma, Director of Data Practice at Nvizion, Prash Chandramohan, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Informatica, delved into the transformative journey of Master Data Management (MDM). This evolution has seen MDM move from traditional, on-premise infrastructures to innovative, cloud-first strategies, fundamentally reshaping the data management landscape. Today, the cloud is more than just a means of scaling and cost-efficiency—it’s a pivotal force for enhancing flexibility, security, and driving continuous innovation.
Recent insights from data leaders highlight this trend, with 80% having initiated or completed their shift to cloud-based MDM. And this momentum is accelerating: over the next three years, an estimated 91% of workloads in integration, governance, and MDM will be fully managed in the cloud.
This transformation underscores a larger trend of businesses embracing cloud technology to streamline operations, boost data accessibility, and adopt future-ready strategies. 🚀
